When our website is accessed, general information is automatically collected by our hosting provider (server log files). This includes the type of web browser, operating system used, domain name of the internet service provider, IP address (anonymised after 7 days) and similar data. No personal evaluation takes place. The legal basis is Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in stable operation and IT security).
This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Avenue #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA. Vercel processes log files and access data on our behalf on the basis of a data processing agreement. If you contact us by contact form, email or telephone, your details will be stored for the purpose of processing your enquiry and for any follow-up questions. The legal basis is Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b GDPR for enquiries relating to pre-contractual measures, and otherwise Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f GDPR. The data will be deleted once the purpose no longer applies and no statutory retention periods prevent deletion.
Through the form available at /objektdaten/ you can submit information about a property together with up to three files (PDF, PNG, JPEG, each maximum 10 MB). The following data are processed: reason for engagement, property type, address, year of construction, floor area figures, timeline, contact details, free text and the uploaded files. Transmission is encrypted via HTTPS to a server operated by Vercel Inc. within the European Union. Uploads remain in memory only for the duration of the request and are deleted once attached to the internal notification email. There is no storage in a database. Emails are sent via the commissioned mail service provider under a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) as well as Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent for contact). For abuse prevention, the IP address is processed as a cryptographic hash for the duration of a one-hour rate-limit window (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Retention period for form data: until conclusion or refusal of the mandate, then deletion subject to statutory retention periods (generally 10 years pursuant to § 147 AO, § 257 HGB).
You may subscribe to the TWGA professional brief either through the dedicated form on the homepage or by ticking the newsletter box in the property data form. Both routes use a double opt-in procedure. After you submit your address you will receive a confirmation email with an activation link. Enrolment becomes active only after you click that link. Processed data: your email address, optionally your name, the date of enrolment and the IP address at the time of confirmation. The confirmation link is signed with an HMAC procedure so that confirmation without the original enrolment is not possible. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR in conjunction with § 7(2) no. 3 UWG (German Act Against Unfair Competition). Purpose: sending announcements of new professional articles on real estate valuation and tax law.

Delivery is handled by Resend (Resend, Inc., 2261 Market Street #5039, San Francisco, CA 94114, USA) under a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. Inputs in the remaining useful life calculator are processed exclusively in the user's browser and are not transmitted to our servers. No storage takes place on our side.
For appointment scheduling we use the service Calendly (Calendly LLC, 271 17th St NW, Atlanta, GA 30363, USA). When you click on a Calendly link, you are redirected to the Calendly platform. This website does not use tracking cookies, Google Analytics, Meta Pixel or comparable analytics tools. Only technically necessary session information is stored.
